  • NSS HILL SPRING INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL donated Rs10 lakhs to NAAM Foundation

    Mumbai – NSS HILL SPRING INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL donated Rs10 lakhs to NAAM Foundation for buy a domestic Spinning wheel (Charkha). Foundation, as part of its endeavour, is wanted to empower the women whose husband suicide due to the drought. Foundation had decided to provide them to MsSpinning wheel which has run on solar panel. They can produced Khadi, yarn were we can give them guaranteed income on daily basis. Thanks to Dr Jaideep Mirashi Sir and Dr Pratibha Mirashi Madam. Also thanks to Shubha Mahajan, Turstee of foundation. landed to Mumbai along with suicide farmers wife. School also organised fashion ramp walk to encourage Khadi. All models wore a khadi saree, which had produced in MGM Khadi. Cheers for Pratik Patil and Aakash who taken care of all transport management for women.​

    A 4 day long annual celebration at Hill Spring International School starting 18th Jan – 21st Jan 2016, commenced with a bang. Each day was dedicated to a region Pan India thus exhibiting national integrity. Food, Décor, Music, Dance everything was theme based. 1st Day saw a Gujarati Theme with a Punjabi Theme on the 2nd day. On the 3rd day Goa was recreated within the campus and the final day went local with Amchi Mumbai – Maharashtrian Theme.

    Honourable D. Shivanandan, Politicians Mr. Milind Deora and Dr. Harish Shetty spoke to the students on a ‘Piece of Peace’. Students, Teacher, Parents & The special invitees got a chance to voice their opinions and views on the topic.

    The discussions were followed by the NSS Hill Spring International School donating 21 solar charkhas to the farmer’s widows through their collaborated NGO – NAAM Foundation. The school has also collaborated with another NGO – Dharma Bharti Mission whose mission is Hunger Free India. The school donated a meal for the homeless children.

    The evening slipped into witnessing Musical performance by Percussionist Toufiq Querishi and his band along with Sitarist Mr. Chirag Katti perform for the audience. He mesmerised the audience with his music. An avid percussionist and composer, Mr. Querishi played outstanding music. A Grammy award winner, Mr. Quereshi’s trademark style incorporates body and vocal percussions to create unique rhythmic motifs spanning across cultures.

    The students of Hill Spring international also exhibited their creativity in a Fashion Show by Satya Paul choreographed by Lubna Adams. The theme for the show was Khaadi and the fabric was procured from MGM Aurangabad & this also provided employment for widows. The students not just walked the ramp with the models but were also a part of the designing team that was done in-house at the art studio in the school premises. The students designed the print on stoles/dupattas.

    The annual event provided scores of opportunities to students to interact with experts in the Music, Dance and Art fields.
