  • Office Gallery International, a Norwood, MA-based leading provider of office furniture and design services for the business community since 1989, recently partnered with The Agency, located at 435 Columbus Avenue in Boston on their office design and furniture needs for the firm’s first and flagship Boston location.

The Agency is a full-service, luxury real estate brokerage and lifestyle company that has redefined and modernized the real estate industry.  With just around 50 offices internationally, The Agency has a boutique feel but offers a global international presence.  Eric Rollo is a managing partner and broker at The Agency, and recently opened the Boston location.

The Agency’s Boston flagship office is a new, ~2,100-square-foot buildout within a five-unit condo association brownstone in the city’s South End.  Hilary Troia, president of Office Gallery, designed the reception area, private office, conference room, and additional workstation areas throughout the space.

The reception area greets everyone coming in from the street warmly, with soft seating in Agency Red around a white coffee table, and a reception desk in white and black.  This pop of color pairs well with the neutrals of the brick wall and hardwood floors, and bridges the traditional with the sophisticated using clean lines and cool circular lighting.  A bar space set off to the side allows agents running in to quickly print a document before heading back out.  The private office offers enough room for a meeting of three comfortably, and features wall mounted shelving with painted glass doors for additional storage.

Hot desking works incredibly well for the real estate industry – these are workstations found within an open concept floor plan that allow any team member to sit for a few moments, check their email or do any research, and send any items to print before they’re back on the road.  As a result of their flexible concept, organizations like The Agency need fewer workstations than actual employees.

“Hilary took the time to go through the whole office design, ordering, and installation process with us to make sure we understood what to expect, and worked with us to ensure we hit all our deadlines so that we could open on time, despite all the supply chain challenges,” said Rollo.  “Her communication was excellent, and the results speak for themselves!”

“We are so happy to have contributed to this Boston flagship location for The Agency,” added Troia.  “Their selections truly capture the feel of their organization – both worldly and one-of-a-kind – and we wish them the best as they continue to grow throughout the Boston area!”
