Panipat/Karnal: The oil refineries in Haryana including Panipat and Karnal along with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on Saturday launched a month-long fuel conservation campaign of the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) named SAKSHAM 2021.

The campaign aims at highlighting the adverse health and environmental impacts of increasing carbon footprints and convince consumers to switch to cleaner fuels.

As a part of the campaign, various activities such as cyclothon, farmer workshops, seminars, painting competitions, CNG vehicle driving contests, etc are held across India to spread awareness among the masses about the advantages of using clean fuels. 

SAKSHAM ( तेल एवं गैस संरक्षण पखवाड़ा) – 2021 will be celebrated in whole country during the period 16th Jan to 15st Feb 2021.SAKSHMA is a initiative by Govt. Of India through which message of Oil & Gas Conservation is spread across the community by conducting various activates.

For the State of Haryana, formal inauguration of the SAKSHAM 2021 conducted through Video Conference.  The program was organized by State Level Coordinator – Sh. Gati Bodh Jauhal. The ceremony was chaired by Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Sh. Sandeep Singh, Minister of Sports and Youth affairs & Printing and Stationery Government of Haryana who was Chief Guest. The function was also attended by  Sh. G.C. Sikdar Executive Director (Incharge) IOCL, Panipat Refinery,  Sh M.K.Gupta GM Panipat Marketing Complex, Chief Regional Manager- HPCL; Senior Territory Manager, BPCL and other senior officers of the Oil industry. The function was also attended by Retail Outlet Dealers, LPG Agency Distributors, Pump Attendants & LPG delivery Boys.

The welcome address was given by Sh. Gati Bodh Jauha State Level Cordinator besides inviting everybody to participate whole heartedly to SAKSHAM-2021. Sh. Sandeep Singh, Minister of Sports and Youth affairs & Printing and Stationery Haryana Government gave deep insight to the participants for need of Oil & Gas conservation besides administering the OATH/PLEADGE . Sh. G.C. Sikdar Executive Director (Incharge) IOCL shared the message from Hon’ble Minister of state (I/c) MOP&NG Sh. Dahrmender Pardhan and recorded message of Hon’ble Minister MOP&NG was shared with each participant. The message of Petroleum Secretary shared with all Participants by Sh. M.K.Gupta GM Panipat Marketing Complex.

In last Sh. Gati Bodh Jauhal SLC Haryana, shared the list of activities planned during SAKSHAM 2021 across the state of Haryana and expressed his gratitude to Chief Guest for inaugurating the SAKSHAM 2021
