  • ONGC, Greentech Charitable Trust in association with ICDS Dept, Govt of Assam distributed Life-Like Artificial Intelligent Limbs with imported moveable parts to help regain almost normal movement

    Nazira/Assam : New Delhi based Greentech Foundation Charitable Trust and the State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) together in association with Integrated Child Development Services Scheme (ICDS) of Government of Assam, provided intelligent artificial limbs to 42  deserving,  differently abled individuals in a function held at Nazira in Assam this weekend.

    Rajiv Thapa, SDO, Nazira; S.D. Maske, Executive Director- Asset Manager, ONGC; Kamaleshwar Sharan, CEO of Greentech Charitable Trust graced the function.

    “No amputee must be left over.  Our vision is to see that every amputee has right to regain his normal movement.  We will work towards that goal” said S.D. Maske, Executive Dirtector of ONGC, Nazira.

    The Limbs presented were different from the routine one. They were Superior quality Intelligent Artificial Limbs.  These replace the amputated/ missing leg Below Knee or Above Knee. The Life-Like artificial intelligent limbs are made of high quality silicon, carbon fibre and titanium. Moveable parts inside the limbs are imported from Germany and USA which ensure durability and dependability of the limbs. The intelligent limbs are light weight, stronger and reduce energy required to use. The amputees are able to regain almost normal and easy movement added Kamleshwar Sharan

    The speciality of these Limbs provided work with nerve  sensors which senses brain commands for movement of hand. Further Mr Sharan added that the German Technology Automatic.

    Knee Movement and Automatic Ankle movement make the Divyangs very convenient to work with hand and Walk easily. We will continue to do this activity, he added.

    The beneficiaries of the project were selected through the district administration. These artificial limbs are different and have improved mobility and flexibility unlike the regular ones informed Kamleshwar Sharan of Greentech Charitable Trust.
