Over 88 lakh Income Tax returns e-filed so far

The Ministry of Finance has said there has been an overwhelming response for e-filing of Income Tax return from every corner of the country and more than 88 lakh returns have been e-filed so far.

An official release said, this is more than 40 per cent of the returns e-filed during the same period last year. Today is the last date for filing of Income Tax Return for individuals and non-auditable cases for the current assessment year.
