  • Oye! 104.8 FM Sabse Filmi added to the festivities of Ganesh Chaturti with a special initiative, ‘Filmi Shree Ganesha’ that included extensive promotions and activations across the biggest Picture 2Pandals, special Aartis with Bollywood stars and even making the largest ‘Modak’ in Mumbai.

    Ganesh Chaturthi is perhaps the biggest and grandest festival in Mumbai that sees massive crowds with the whole city going into celebration mode. To reach out to the multitude of Ganesha devotees, Oye! FM had tied up with GSB Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Samiti, Shree Ram Mandir, Wadala known as the richest Pandal for ground activations, promotions and celebrity endorsements.

    In addition to this, lucky listeners on Oye! FM also got a once in a lifetime opportunity for a special Aarti at the homes of their favourite Bollywood stars. The listeners got to personally meet and do the ‘Aarti’ with bollywood stars like Nana Patekar, Amisha Patel, Sonu Sood, Vivek Oberoi and many more.

    On the second day of the Ganpati festival, Oye 104.8 FM brought in a big surprise for the Mumbaikars. And it literally was big in the shape of the biggest Modak to be created in India. This initiative involved creation of the biggest Modak which was taken from Goregaon and finally to Juhu Beach where it was distributed to the Ganesha devotees and Oye FM listeners.

    The ‘Modak’ of a record height of 1.8 M and weighing over 550 Kgs added to the festive spirit that had people following the Oye FM procession and dancing to the beats of drums and cheers by the RJs. This special Modak was by White Leaf Entertainment and Spaces by Welspun

    The RJs from Oye FM – Akriti, Shama, Aditya, Alok and Nitin followed the ‘Modak’ in a special Oye FM canter through the streets of Mumbai. The procession of the RJs and the Modak was flagged of at Goregaon by Kavita Kaushik (F.I.R) and Ankit Gera. From Goregaon, the procession then proceeded from Jogeshwari and Andheri with a final culmination at Juhu Beach.

    This Ganesh Chaturti, the people of Mumbai got a Sabse Filmi flavour across the pandals to a taste of the biggest Modak and the special Aartis with their favourite stars. ‘Filmi Shree Ganesha’ on Oye! 104.8 FM surely did ensure that Lord Ganesha would be pleased.
