New Delhi : India’s first liberal professional university, VijayBhoomi University conducted their 4th convocation ceremony at the campus recently. Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. N. Rajam, Solo Violinist and a legend in the field of music was the Chief Guest for the event. The ceremony was presided over by the University’s President, Mr. Sanjay Padode, accompanied by Board Member Ms. Kalpana Padode. Among the distinguished attendees were Members of the Governing Body, Board of Management, Academic Council, Administrative Staff, and Parents.
Amongst the successful graduates, Pokharkar Pratiksha Raju won the True School of Music’s Dean’s medal and Thadathil Nicole Julian was felicitated with the Dean’s Appreciation certificate.
Congratulating the graduated students, Padma Bhushan Awardee, Dr. N. Rajam expressed, “Firstly, I would like to congratulate students for graduating from such a prestigious institution as Vijaybhoomi University. This certificate that you hold is very valuable and reminds me of my college days when I received my degree, and I cherish those memories. Reflecting on my own journey, I’ve come to realize that learning music is both easy and difficult for various reasons, but if you practice rigorously, it gives you the utmost satisfaction and peace. Just keep chasing your dreams and never stop working towards your goals. I wish you all a lot of success wherever you will be in your life ahead. May you be victorious!”
Addressing the fresh graduates, Mr. Sanjay Padode, President, Vijaybhoomi University said, “It gives me immense happiness to see our 4th batch graduating today. I personally know so many students from the previous batches who are doing wonders in their lives. The last year for Vijaybhoomi University, has been a year of growth in terms of adding capabilities and fostering meaningful partnerships that I am sure has benefitted each one of us. Moving forward, my primary advice to you all is that consistency without fail is crucial. If you are consistent and a continuous learner, you will always grow wiser and excel in life. I would like to end by congratulating all the graduates and their families on behalf of our entire university.”
Vijaybhoomi university has six schools and all the schools had unique accomplishments throughout the year. The few highlights include –
● The Jagdish Sheth School of Management organized ‘Brand Karjat’ a competition for students to create strategies to make ‘Karjat’ a tourist destination and increase visibility. Roshan Patro, a student from the school founded a startup called SnackHeads providing health snacks. Uday Bhardwaj, a student from BBA 2022 batch, qualified for the National level shooting championship.
● The True School of Music hosted an array of renowned international musicians and artists from Norway, the UK and France who conducted masterclasses, enriching the learning experience of the students. 90% students from TSM secured job offers from well known names in the industry.
● The students of School of Science & Technology received 3 internship offers from Mahindra and Mahindra.
● Adith Iyer from School of Law bagged the first position in the New India Junction Debates.
● Students of School of Design hosted an exemplary exhibition of student works in illustration, graphic design, visualization and paintings.
