In Pakistan, at least 17 people including two pilots were killed and 12 others injured when a small military plane crashed into a residential area near the garrison city of Rawalpindi in the wee hours today.
District commissioner Rawalpindi Ali Randhawa told the media that the incident occurred between 2:30 and 2:40 am when the plane which was on a training mission crashed.
The cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained and the rescue operation was completed by morning, authorities said.
