  • Panasonic’s first arc welding equipment factory to be established in India

    New Delhi : Panasonic Welding Systems Co., Ltd.  announced that the Panasonic’s first arc welding equipment factory is going to be established in December, 2010, in Haryana, as a division company of Panasonic India Pvt. Ltd. and will start the production in August, 2012.

    Panasonic Welding Systems India will produce energy-saving high quality arc welding equipment and supply Japan-made arc welding robot which will fulfill the needs and requirements of rapidly growing Indian welding industries, With an in-depth customer study and adopting the localization strategy Panasonic foresee to capture No-1 market share in India by amalgamation of best equipment and welding solution, and to be No-1 Welding Systems group globally in arc welding equipment.

    Speaking on the occasion Mr. Toshihide Takahashi Managing Director Panasonic Welding Systems Co., Ltd. said, “We have been expanding the business in the world by working closely with countries, areas and customers. To enhance the Brand value of Panasonic and accelerate localization contribution to Indian industries, Panasonic has taken this major step to establish welding equipment factory in India and strengthen its global welding solution business in emerging countries.

    The demand of arc welding equipment is closely related to consumption of steel. India has witnessed 108% growth in 2009 and has gained the third place after China & USA .Indian steel based industries are growing rapidly with production of automobiles and transport machine. This is expected to grow more with increasing personal disposable income and supply of goods.
