Parliament could not take up the Question Hour for the 18th day on Tuesday and adjourned till noon amid vociferous demands for a JPC probe into alleged irregularities in the 2G spectrum allocation.

The Opposition put up a show of unity in demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee to probe the alleged 2G scam and trooped to the well of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

Members belonging to the BJP, Shiv Sena, AIADMK, SP and the Left parties kept raising slogans ‘We want JPC’ till the two Houses were adjourned for an hour.

In the Lok Sabha, Speaker Meira Kumar made several attempts to restore order but as members were unrelenting, she adjourned the House till noon.

In the Rajya Sabha, members from the BJP and AIADMK stormed the well as soon as Chairman Hamid Ansari took his seat and called for the Question Hour.

But, as the din continued he adjourned the House till noon.
