Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi today condemned the opposition for disrupting the proceedings in Rajya Sabha over suspension of 8 members of the Upper House.
Talking to reporters outside parliament, Mr Joshi said, when the Chairman names a member they have to leave the House but the suspended opposition members defied the ruling of the Chair. He alleged that it proves that opposition have no trust in democracy.
Meanwhile, suspended MPs along with other members of Congress, TMC, SP, Left, TRS, DMK and others staged a protest in front of Gandhi Statue in Parliament premises. They were questioning the suspension of MPs terming it as undemocratic.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said, they will protest to restore the status quo ante of the suspended members in Rajya Sabha.
