$10,000 award earmarked for resident wellness programs
BRAINTREE … Peabody Properties an affiliate of the Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from UnitedHealthcare.
The Peabody Companies is one of eight greater Boston organizations awarded a grant from UnitedHealthcare, a MassHealth Senior Care Options managed care plan, dedicated to helping members live healthier lives and making the health system work better for everyone.
This year’s awards are aimed at supporting communities to address health equity. As such, Peabody has earmarked the funding for wellness programs to provide nutrition and other support services for residents at Peabody Properties communities. The programs will be facilitated via Peabody Resident Service’s Regional Wellness Nurse program and available to more than 20 Peabody communities serving seniors and persons with disabilities.
Peabody Resident Services has contracted with UnitedHealthcare since 2013 and serves UnitedHealthcare members through its Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) Homecare Program established in 1995 and by working in partnership to provide wellness and resource outreach to residents of Peabody Properties communities.
“We are grateful to UnitedHealthcare for this generous grant, one that will assist in our commitment to health equity and access to healthcare services for all our residents,” said Doreen Bushashia, president of Peabody Resident Services, Inc.
