  • Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance Moves to Virtual Treatment Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

    Published on March 21, 2020

PEMBROKE, BRAINTREE: Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, a South Shore practice specializing in unique programs that provide comprehensive treatment in orthopedic, spine and sports medicine specialties, has moved all of their treatment to virtual physical therapy in an effort to keep patients and staff clear of COVID-19.

The current COVID-19 pandemic has allowed physical therapy practices to temporarily treat patients through Telehealth and it is approved for insurance. This move allows patients to continue their rehabilitation program from the safety of their homes. Telehealth will enable the staff to perform initial evaluations of new patients as well as continue the rehabilitation programs for existing patients.

“We didn’t want the COVID-19 to put our patient’s therapy on hold. Now we can provide Telehealth physical therapy from the comfort of a patient’s home and they can continue their rehabilitation program and continue to make progress. The feedback so far has been fantastic,”

said Eric Edelman, PT, owner of Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance. “It’s a really interesting outcome because of how the world is changing.”
