Haflong  : Joint Director of Health services, Dima Hasao Dr Dipali Barman in an exclusive interview said People should be more responsible and sensitive in maintaining COVID protocol otherwise people would have to suffer a lot as the community spreading of COVID has made its way in the Dima Hasao.

Sharing information in regards to the COVID Dr Barman said the government has been doing its best and the Medical staffs are also doing despite a shortage of doctors and others but how long the Government would provide all the necessities since the people seemed to be not willing to understand the gravity of the situation.

She also said, we have been informing the government and also placing the requirements of test kits etc. but received 500 against the demand of 5000 kits. At present 50 positive patients are being treated at Haflong Civil Hospital. She informed that 58 positive cases were detected out 110 workers of Sushi Company engaged for the construction of NH. They are being treated at their camp at Harangajao as home isolation.  

Dr. Barman further appealed to the people of Dima Hasao to be more responsible and not venture out unnecessarily especially the old aged people and children.
