“The unveiling of The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) budget announcement today for the financial year 2022-23 is very promising showcasing support to the healthcare sector. The increase in health infrastructure outlay to Rs 6,933 crore was the need-of-the hour given the current Covid-19 pandemic which has clearly shown us the importance of a strong infrastructure for the city and its people when fighting or managing a healthcare emergency . Though the city gave a great response by building an amazing infrastructure to tackle Covid which is one of the best examples to the world but this is much required allocation aligning with expectations and healthcare needs of the society and people :

This allocation will help strengthen the healthcare ecosystem in the city and provide accessibility, upgradation and quality medical care to our citizens.

Additionally, the Shiv Yog Centre set up to raise awareness with regards to physical & mental health in old, co-morbid, and young populations is a humble move considering the need of focus on physical and mental health faced by the society in the last two years. This concern is further validated by the pandemic induced after effects ensuring medical care and uninterrupted Health Service for the health & happiness of the citizens of the state and providing a great boost to the sentiments of the population at large.“
