  • 84 teams and 800+ kids from Hyderabad participated in the inaugural edition of the tournament

    Hyderabad: Continuing to build on the football ecosystem in the city, Hyderabad FC successfully completed a one of its kind football tournament in the heart of Hyderabad.

    Held as a two-day event over the weekend, the Future Is Us Cup saw the entirety of the football aspirants in the city make a mark and impress.

    Over 84 teams enrolled for the tournament as more than 800 players from across the city, showcased their talent in one of the biggest tournaments the city has seen in recent times.

    Played at the Astro Park in Jubilee Hills, one of the best facilities in the city, the tournament included a group stage and a knockout phase with over 120 matches played in two days, simultaneously on two pitches.

    While the top-4 teams in both categories will be given a chance to express themselves in front of the Hyderabad FC coaches, the teams also got a chance to impress two of the first team players from the Hyderabad FC squad during the tournament.

    The hero of the recent ISL final, Laxmikant Kattimani and fan favourite Nikhil Poojary were both present at the event, interacting with the kids, signing autographs, posing for selfies and giving the kids a taste of the trophy lift.

    Plenty of HFC officials, including co-owner Varun Tripuraneni and First Team Assistant Coach Shameel Chembakath cheered the kids on with the ISL trophy also on display at the venue.

    After a hard-fought couple of days, Dreamviewer FC from Tolichowki beat PJR FC from Chandanagar to become champions in the U13 category

    In the U15 category, Petra FC a team from Gachibowli beat Golconda FC from the Golconda area, to lift the trophy.
