Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company announces “Logan Direct,” a new express bus transportation service for faster passenger service to Logan Airport and Cape Cod

PLYMOUTH, MA :Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company (http://p-b.com) announced today that, effective Saturday, July 17th, the company will add four more round trips of bus service from Hyannis/Cape Cod to Logan Airport in Boston. The increase brings the daily total to 20 round trips of scheduled bus service.

John Cogliano, president of Plymouth & Brockton, said that the addition of the new Logan Direct service will provide passengers a faster way to get to Logan Airport and to the Cape Cod.

Cogliano said, “Logan Direct bus service features stops in Hyannis, Barnstable, and Sagamore and from there heads directly to Logan International Airport. This new bus service will get people to Logan Airport and back to Cape Cod much faster.”

Cogliano, who held the top state transportation positions including Commissioner of the Massachusetts Highway Department, Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation, Chairman of the MBTA and the Chairman and CEO of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, said, “This new bus service will run daily alongside our hourly bus service from Cape Cod through the South Shore to Logan Airport. “Traveling on a Plymouth and Brockton bus to Boston, Logan Airport, TF Green Airport, and Cape Cod is the safest, most cost effective, and greenest way to travel to your destination. Every P&B bus can take up to 55 cars off the road which reduces local traffic congestion, reduces overall gas consumption, and truly benefits the environment,” Cogliano said.

Presently, P&B’s Airport Express provides a new bus service from Hyannis, MA, with stops in Barnstable, Sagamore, New Bedford and Fall River, and the final destination at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, RI. The route runs regular round trips every day providing cost effective and faster service to the airport. Also, P&B has a long established bus route from Hyannis to Boston and Logan Airport which makes stops on the Cape and the South Shore.
