Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated an Inland Multi-Modal Terminal Port constructed at the cost of 207 crore rupees on river Ganga at Ramnagar in Varanasi.
The other three terminals are under construction at Sahibganj, Haldia and Gazipur. In a major push to India’s Inland Waterways Transportation sector, the Prime Minister also received a large container vessel which travelled for the first time on Inland Waterways in the country.
During his day-long visit to his parliamentary constituency -Varanasi, Mr Modi will also dedicate and inaugurate several projects costing over 2400 crore rupees including two National Highways to the people.
