Police Commemoration Day observed in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar : To mark the 61st Police Commemoration Day various colourful programmes were organised by Kokrajhar Police in Kokrajhar.
An awareness rally on the occasion of police commemoration day was carried out in Kokrajhar town where police personnel participated today.
As part of the Police Commemoration day, a colourful cultural programme was also organised at Kokrajhar Science College Auditorium. Cultural troupes and Students from various institutions presented various cultural activities last evening.
October 21 is observed as Police Commemoration Day every year in memory of ten policemen, who were killed by the Chinese troops in 1959 by lobbing grenade in Ladakh.
Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Partha Pratim Mazumdar, Superintendent of Police Rajen Singh, senior police officials, students, guardians and other were present on the occasion.
