  • Polling officials make a move to their respective polling stations

    Haflong : The polling officials including zonal magistrates, sector officials, presiding officials and police officials made a final move to their respective polling duties of the district today.

    The transit of the officials was made in three phases that began from 16 January, 2019 for 15 polling stations under Jinam constituency. On 17th January, 2019 officials of 75 numbers of polling stations under various constituencies such as Dolong, Dihamlai, Hangrum, Laisong, Wajao, Hajadisa, Semkhor, Diger, Maibang east, Wajao, Garampani, Kharthong received their materials moved to their respective constituencies. And the rest of officials for 190 numbers of polling stations received and moved to their respective constituencies today. The constituencies are Haflong, Dolong, Gunjung, Hadingma, Jatinga, Dihamlai, Harangjao, Lower Kharthong, Mahur, Dautuhaja, Borail, Maibang East, Maibang West, Kalachand, Langting, Hatikkhali, Dehagi, Diyungbra, Hamri, Dehangi.

    The polling at 28 numbers of constituencies under Dima Hasao district for the 12th North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council election will be held tomorrow. All together there are 129 numbers of candidates representing various political parties contesting in the election result to which will be declared on 22 January next.

    Around 1, 22,341 electorate which include 61,604 male and 60,737 female will exercise franchise across 280 polling stations. There are around 86 very sensitive polling stations, 103 sensitive and 91 as comparatively safe polling stations identified.
