Polling is underway for the first phase of Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh.
Voting is taking place in 18 constituencies spread over 8 districts in this phase.
Around 65 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 3.00 PM. Polling remained by and large peaceful.
In 10 Maoist-affected constituencies, polling started at 7 AM and concluded at 3 PM. In the other 8 constituencies, polling began at 8 AM and will end at 5 PM. 190 candidates are in the fray.
