  • “The circumstance of this year’s Akshaya Tritiya is radically different. With all of our 140+ showrooms across India and the Middle East closed, we launched a new initiative called the Gold Ownership Certificate, to ensure that our customers got to own gold on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya.

     

    We launched this program early last week, and since then we have seen the number of visitors to our website triple – assuring us of the positive sentiments in the market towards our initiative. Today in particular, we witnessed a steep surge in website visits. Apart from the expected traction from bigger cities, there was considerable traffic coming in from tier-2 and tier-3 cities as well.

     

    This year’s sales cannot of course be compared to a regular brick and motors showroom sale during Akshaya Tritiya. But, considering the limited time since the announcement of our Akshaya Tritiya offering and given the current circumstances, we were expecting to clock about 10% of our usual Akshaya Tritiya sales, this year. With website visits steadily rising through the day, we are expecting more traction to come in during the evening hours. As our facility will remain available all night, and we are positive that we will be able to clock this number.”
