POWERS Insurance and Risk Management’s Meaghan Dowd Earns Designation

St. Louis, Mo.,  : Meaghan Dowd recently earned the Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor (CPRIA) certificate after completing an intensive program designed to enhance the knowledge of professionals who craft tailored personal lines insurance solutions for their clients.  Only 500 professionals from some of the leading U.S. insurance organizations have graduated from the program since its inception in 2015.

Dowd is an insurance advisor for POWERS Insurance and Risk Management, one of the largest family owned and operated independent insurance agencies in the bi-state region.

“I love the ability to be creative with clients and their personal risk.  I can help clients by creating a roadmap for their future and how to best protect their family and lifestyle,” said Dowd.  “Most importantly if and when my clients experience these changes, losses and unknown turns in life, I get to be by their side, guiding them, helping put them back together, and providing resources and support wherever needed.”

The CPRIA certification is a six segment educational curriculum built by and for high net worth risk and insurance specialists through the Private Risk Management Association (PRMA), a not-for-profit association providing specialized education and practice management resources.  The program is endorsed by the Tobin Center for Executive Education of St. John’s University in conjunction with St. John’s School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science.  This certification indicates to clients they are working with an advisor that is continuously learning and thinking proactively so the client doesn’t have to become their own insurance expert.

“This hard-earned designation shows the level of commitment Meaghan has for her clients,” said POWERS Insurance and Risk Management President JD Powers.  “It’s that passion – her desire to continuously expand her professional skillset – which makes her one of very few agents in the country to complete the program.”
