Prashanth Hospitals Launches Corporate Cricket Tournament to Create Awareness About Better Heart Health

Chennai : Chennai’s leading super-speciality hospital, Prashanth Hospitals today announced the launch of Corporate Cricket Tournament 2023 as part of its annual campaign – Save Young Hearts. Emphasizing on the importance of physical activities in maintaining a healthy heart, this tournament is set to bring together 36 teams from different corporate organizations battling for the coveted title. The tournament will kick-start on January 21st and is scheduled to happen for two weeks at Arete Homes – Gymkhana Club in Ponneri. Organized by Prashanth Hospitals in collaboration with Rotary Club, S2S HR Forum and ICMA SIPCOT, the winners of the tournament will be rewarded with exciting cash awards of Rs.30,000 and Rs.15,000 for the winners and runner-up respectively.
Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Prashanth Krishna , Managing Director of Prashanth Hospitals said “We are happy to launch the Corporate Cricket Tournament for corporates in Chennai. Physical activities, sports especially, is one of the proven ways to maintain a healthy heart. With an increase in sedentary lifestyle among working professionals, we felt the need to get them moving from their offices and encourage them to adopt an active lifestyle. We are confident that this tournament will be a great start and I would like to wish the team members success.”
Adding to it, Dr. Bhaskaran, CEO of Prashanth Hospitals said ‘We look forward to a long term association and approach of promoting fitness and proper cardiac health. Stress and other lifestyle factors always need to be timely regulated apart from other aspects like diet and sleep.I definitely believe that such group events will be a great start to begin this year with a healthy pledge of maintaining good cardiac health by preventing early cardiac arrests or complications for youngsters’.
The matches will begin on 21st January 2023 from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The tournament will have nine matches per day, until 5th February 2023.Save Young Hearts campaign is Prashanth Hospital’s flagship campaign which was kick-started in 2022 with an aim to promote cardiac wellness among youngsters.
