  • Seventeen short films directed by IT employees across the State were screened during the PQFF 2021, the largest film festival of techies, held at Technopark here on Saturday. `Conspiracy of Kalachakra’, directed by Vishnulal Sudha (Envestnet) bagged the best film award.

    It was a packed Travancore Hall on the campus right from 10 am when the screening started till the end of the award ceremony in the evening for the 10th edition of the Qisa Film Festival.

    Prathidhwani Film Club convenor Aswin MC welcomed the gathering for the award ceremony presided over by Prathidhwani executive member Ajith Anirudhan. Kazhakkuttam MLA Kadakampally Surendran inaugurated the function and was all praise for efforts of Prathidhwani to add value to the IT community. Acclaimed Malayalam movie director Jeo Baby was the chief guest and motivated techie moviemakers to move to greater heights.

    Jury chairman Krishendu Kalesh announced the awards along with members Krishand RK and Archana Padmini.

    It was an enlightening open forum that followed where the chief guest and jury members interacted with the audience on different aspects of filmmaking.

    Prathidhwani Qisa Film Festival’s longtime mentor and acclaimed film critic MF Thomas, Prathidhwani Technopark secretary Vineeth Chandran, Prathidhwani Calicut executive member Pyarelal and Festival Convenor Chaithanyan felicitated the winners and PQFF’21 Festival Director Mohammed Aneesh delivered the vote of thanks.
