  • President Kovind to hold bilateral meeting with his Iceland’s counterpart today

    President Ram Nath Kovind will hold bilateral meeting with his counterpart in Iceland today on the second day of his three-nation tour of Iceland, Switzerland and Slovenia. Both India and Iceland have evinced keen interest in furthering trade and cultural relations and number agreements will be signed between both the countries after the delegation-level talks today.

    Later in the day today President will deliver a lecture on environmental issues in the University of Iceland. Our Correspondent reports that India is keen on extending cooperation in the field of biotechnology and IT sector and Iceland is keen on Indian participation in Science and Technology, geo thermal energy, education and Tourism.

    The scenic locations in Iceland are being offered to Bollywood. CEOs of Indian companies who are part of the business delegation are exploring possibilities of investment in Iceland in the areas of renewable energy, travel and hospitality and hydro electric projects.
