SCHAUMBURG: Pulse Technology (http://pulsetechnology.com), a technology company serving the IT, Managed Print Services and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, was ranked #11 in the category of area family-owned businesses in a recent Daily Herald Business Ledger list appearing in their July 2020 edition.

Pulse Technology was listed in 11th place in a ranking of year that the business was founded. The list includes family businesses founded as early as 1912 and as late as 2013.  Pulse Technology traces its roots to 1955 when it began under the name Des Plaines Office Equipment. The firm employs 120 people and its ownership is second generation, although there is also a third generation currently filling key roles. The firm was founded by the late Vincent Miceli, father to current owner and president Chip Miceli.

“We are pleased to be included in this comprehensive list and to see the number of family-owned businesses in the Greater Chicago area which are still thriving, some of them for more than a century,” said Chip Miceli, President/CEO of Pulse Technology. He added, “We also thank the Business Ledger for its strong commitment to covering the news of local business and all they do to help support our region.”
