MANGALDAI:: Dr Parimal Kr Dutta, a Veteran academician, writer and the principal of the SM Degree College, Kharupetia has asked the students community to set a goal and build self confidence to achieve it with utmost hard work and dedication for studies.

‘Pursue your goal with self confidence with hard work and dedication in studies.’, he said. He was speaking from the chair in the open session and the prize distribution ceremony organized in connection with the celebration of freshman social of the college on October 1. Referring some quotes from Swami Vibekananda, Dr Dutta explained how one person empowered with knowledge can not only illuminate himself but also can enlighten hundred others surrounding him.

The function anchored by the vice principal of the college Hamidur Rahman was also addressed by senior journalist Mayukh Goswami, Darrang Civil Defense official Palash Baruah, social activist Matiur Rahman and Abdus Subahan, the chairman of the SM Trust . Certificates and awards were also presented to the winners of different cultural and literary competitions organized on the occasion among the students . The meeting ended with the vote of thanks offered by senior faculty of the college Rajani Kanta Bhuyan.
