Haflong : Considering the people’s inconvenience, quarantine centers at Hotels of Haflong vacated and all the inmates were shifted to Girls’ Hostel of Haflong Government College at Haflong today.

A total 324 people are kept in institutional quarantine centers at Haflong, Mahur etc. after discharging 45 people.

Meanwhile a positive case was detected of age 23/ male of  Mahur, Dima Hasao who boarded Chennai – Jiribam train at Chennai on 20/05/2020 de-boarded at  Badarpur on 24/05/2020. The sample was collected on 24/05/2020, he is presently in Maruti Hotel quarantine facility center in Cachar with present status asymptomatic.

Evon Teron, Assistant Commissioner and also Nodal Officer for Dima Hasao Covid 19 talking to the media said that all the frontline warriors of Covid 19 have been working selflessly  day to fight corona despite various constrains. He assured that his entire team along with line unitedly working at this point of crisis.

It is expected that more than 500 of people from various places from outside North East India would be reaching Dima Hasao and arrangement of accommodations for them, though challenging but being taken care priority basis.
