  • West Bengal : Radio Misty 94.3 fm, the first and Number one fm station of North Bengal joined hands with Bangla Gaan Utsav committee to organize path-breaking festival of Bengali songs. The four-day festival had Popular Bengali bands Chandrabindu and Saptak performing live at this utsav.Noted Writer Samaresh Majumder unveiled the statue of Rabindranath Tagore during the four-day festival to commemorate the poet’s 150 birth anniversary. West Bengal Urban Development Minister Asok Bhattacharya also enjoyed the musical evening with Huge Crowd from all over the Region.

    Baul Performers from Birbhum also performed in this event. Noted singer’s sakshar basu, Amrita Datta, Debarati som along with Popular Bangladeshi singer Aditi Moshin also performed at this musical extravangza. This was the fifth year of this festival and it draws huge crowd from all over the region. Well-known singers from Bengal performed on each day of the festival in an effort to rekindle a liking for all types of Bengali songs, from Folk Music, Rabindrasangeet to Adhunik (modern) songs.

    Radio Misty 94.3 fm Chief Executive Officer Nishant Mittal said that Bangla Gaan Utsav is biggest event held in North Bengal.It Draws huge crowd from all over region. Its proud moment to be associated with this great event. We erected a live studio at venue from where shows were hosted by celebrity radio jocks. He added that bangla gaan utsav goes with our tagline Gungunate Raho and we tried that people dance to the tunes of this wonderful event
