The Madras High Court has extended the parole given to one of the life convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case, Nalini, by three weeks.
She was given a 30-day parole by the court on the fifth of last month to make arrangements for the marriage of her daughter, who is in London. She approached the court again seeking extension of the parole, saying the preparatory arrangements for the marriage required more time.
Acceding to the demand, the Division Bench consisting of Justices M.M.Sundaresh and M.Nirmal Kumar today granted extension of the parole by three more weeks.
