    New Delhi: The opening of new points of sale, prestige events and the renewal of the emblematic parsifal collection, without a shadow of doubt combined to make 2010 an extremely fruitful year for RAYMOND WEIL. True to its traditional dynamism, the end of the year was just as hectic for the Swiss watchmaker: a new communications strategy and the opening of new shop-in-shops in North America; the strengthening of its presence in the Caribbean and Middle East; the official launch of the new parsifal in Russia; a prestigious exhibition in Shanghai; The International Photography Prize; the sale of a Special Edition to help with the struggle against cancer, and the selection of a RAYMOND WEIL by a star as a lucky charm.

    New marketing strategy and the opening of new sale points in North America

    In the autumn of 2010, RAYMOND WEIL USA launched a multi-layered advertising and marketing strategy that resulted in the Brand’s increase in sales and consumer perception. Focusing on editorial and advertising, RAYMOND WEIL was featured in many lifestyle and fashion publications, receiving more than 500 editorial mentions resulting in over 300 MILLION contacts. Emphasis was also placed on building shop-in shops and gaining real estate in high image accounts throughout North America and the Caribbean, starting with the construction of the RAYMOND WEIL boutique at Swedish Jewelers in Edmonton, Canada.

    RAYMOND WEIL strengthens its presence in the Caribbean

    The Caribbean territory has always been a focus for RAYMOND WEIL, however, in 2010, the company launched a multi-dimensional campaign targeting the tourism market, far exceeding previous years’ levels. Through targeted advertising on cruise ships and the building of shop-in-shops in high traffic areas, RAYMOND WEIL was able to increase its awareness with the consumer, which translated into an increase in sales!

    The Swiss Brand in the Middle East

    In 2010, the watchmaking brand obtained excellent results in the United Arab Emirates, after two difficult years due to the crisis. Our local partner will thus take advantage of this recovery in the Middle East economy to develop the RAYMOND WEIL distribution in Abu Dhabi with the opening of 4 new sales points in 2011! In Iran in September, RAYMOND WEIL opened a new boutique in the Iran Almas Shopping Center in Tehran. It should be noted that sales have increased significantly in the country compared with 2009.

    New parsifal collection launch in Russia

    To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Parsifal collection, on 12 November, RAYMOND WEIL, officially launched the new parsifal in Moscow. To formally introduce the collection, a combined event was arranged, including a presentation made by Pierre Bernheim and a cocktail for partners at the Golden Apple Hotel, followed by a première of “Lioness of Aquitaine” at the Lenkom Theatre.

    Exhibition at the Grand Gateway Plaza in Shanghai

    During the end of year festivities, a prestige exhibition was held at the Grand Gateway Plaza in Shanghai. A sublime setting, with classical music and eurhythmic timekeepers once again illustrated the close relationship between RAYMOND WEIL and art. The new parsifal, whose contours were redesigned for the collection’s 20th anniversary, was the star attraction for the public throughout the exhibition.

    RAYMOND WEIL International Photography Prize and the RW Club Special Award

    Ever more international and diversified, the 5th edition of the RAYMOND WEIL International Photography Prize unveiled its lucky winner. This year the jury was especially impressed by the works of Elena Rendina, whom it nominated as the competition’s laureate.

    Educated at the ECAL in Lausanne, Switzerland’s most prestigious art school, this young lady was strongly influenced by contemporary art and developed her competencies in the world of fashion and advertising photography. With her innate creative skills, she conceives the decors, costumes and accessories used in these photographs, in order to create both enigmatic and poetic environments. In particular, her accessories are veritable sculptures. The innovative talent of Elena Rendina, completely in step with her times, is in perfect harmony with the new generation of artists dear to RAYMOND WEIL. The RW Club Members’ Special Award, for its part, was won by Louise Te Poele. As a platform for the exchange of value added between RAYMOND WEIL and its various target audiences, the RW Club is always listening to the comments, impressions and suggestions made by its members. It is not surprising, therefore, that the club also wishes to give them the possibility to take part in the selection of artists.

    A RAYMOND WEIL Limited Edition in support of the efforts of the International Union Against Cancer

    The International Union Against Cancer, the UICC, and RAYMOND WEIL, have decided to combine their efforts in the struggle against cancer. The Swiss Watchmaker offered its clients the possibility of buying on-line from its website, just during the month of September 2010, the magnificent freelancer Limited Edition timekeeper, in support of the International Union Against Cancer. The money collected was handed over to the president of the UICC – M. Cary Adams – by Olivier Bernheim, President and Managing Director of RAYMOND WEIL, during a luncheon. RAYMOND WEIL intends to continue its modest contribution towards the struggle against cancer through new projects in 2011 and on an ongoing basis.

    X Factor 2010 Winner, Matt Cardle selects RAYMOND WEIL don giovanni to replace his lucky charm
