GUWAHATI : Regional Outreach Bureau, Guwahati is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav beginning from 23 rd to 29 th August 2021. To celebrate the iconic week Regional Outreach Bureau(ROB) is organizing a Photo Exhibitions on the freedom struggle at Rabindra Bhawan today. Inaugurating the exhibition as chief guest Shri Kishore Thakuria, Director, Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Assam, applauded the initiative taken by ROB Guwahati and also talked about the contribution of freedom fighters in India’s Independence.
On this occasion Deputy Director of ROB, Guwahati, Shri Arijit Chakraborty said that this exhibition is aimed at creating awareness about our freedom struggle. The message of our freedom movement should be reached to the all spectrum of people of the society he added. To create awareness among the young mass ROB is also organizing online quiz, art, slogan and extempore competitions for school and college students throughout this week. A Fit India Freedom run is also planned on 24 th August .
The Iconic Week under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav will be a grand celebration by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting which will showcase the convergence of the values and glories of the freedom struggle of the past with the aspirations and dreams of a young, new and iconic India.
