  • Reopening of Assam’s Orang National Park for visitors with some restrictions

    Mangaldai  : The Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve in Darrang district of Assam which is also called as the Mini Kaziranga will be reopened for the tourists and visitors for new tourism season beginning on November 1 next. However there will be some restrictions in the vehicular of movement due to the ongoing repairing works of some of the routes in the Park which had been affected by the last waves of flood. Accordingly till completion of the repair work  traffic movement will be opened only in the routes connecting the Shatshimalu forest inspection bunglow within the Park and the main office of the Range Officer via Singabheti forest camp area. This has been stated in a release by District Public Relation Officer Darrang issued on Wednesday quoting a notice from the Divisional Forest Officer, Mangaldai Wildlife Division.
