  • Republic Of Korea Ambassador H.E. SHIN BONG–KIL to deliver Lecture On Indo Korea Bi-Lateral Relations In Panjab University , Chandigarh On November 30

    Chandigarh  : His Excellency Mr Shin  Bong-kil, ambasador of Republic of Korea in India (South Korea) will deliver a lecture on ‘ Korea’s development as well as Korea-India bilateral relations’ in Panjab University, Chandigarh on November 30, 2018

    During his Two day visit in City Beautuful the ambassador  will also inaugurate The North and South Korean cultural evening on November 29  being organised by Republic of Korea (South Korea)  Honorary consul General office ,Chandigarh and Korean Cultural center in India .

    With continuous push  by North and South Korea  for peace, for the first time dance and cultural troupes from South Korea will be showcasing traditional  culture of both the nations  in city beautiful on November 29, 2018 .The cultural troupes from South Korea will be enthralling residents of Tri City on November 29 ,2018 at Auditorium of Post Graduate Government girls college , Sector 42 in  Chandigarh. entry is Free.

    “The traditional dancers from South Korea will be performing various traditional dances of both South and North Korea  as due to long divide between Two nations the dance style has also changed with time. Another highlight will be performance by Korean musicians with traditional instruments” said His Excellency Jagdip Singh , Honorary Consul General, Republic of Korea, Chandigarh .

    “The cultural evening is part of Republic of Korea’s president Moon Jai-In’s  new acronym of ‘3P Plus’ for boosting bilateral ties between Two countries through cooperation for people, prosperity and peace.” Said His Excellency Singh

    “Some of the traditional dances that will be performed by cultural troupes from South Korea will include Janggu dance, a musical dance performed with traditional The Jangu (Jango) a two sided drum playing from their waste, Four Seasons, mainly based on North Korean style of dance with South Korean flag symbolizing unification of both countries, Minyo, south Korean Folk Dance and Taepyeongmu, a Korean dance wishing peace for the country” said His Excellency Jagdip singh.

    “Another major highlight of the ground breaking evening will be Short duration video exhibiting the Korean culture and values .

    H.E. Ambassador Mr. Shin Bong-kil of Republic of Korea in India will be present on the occasion along with dignitaries from both countries as well as representatives of Korean companies around Chandigarh  .
