MARSHFIELD, MA : Road to Responsibility , one of the region’s largest and most successful nonprofit organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is getting high marks from employees for its education program.

RTR offers discounted tuition rates to employees taking undergraduate courses at Massachusetts state-supported schools. In addition, full-time employees have access to special reduced tuition funded by RTR for selected online bachelor’s programs.

Liz Taylor, a case manager with RTR, recently received her Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Management from the SNHU College for America Program as a result of RTR’s scholarship program.

“I’m a first-generation college graduate thanks to the support of RTR,” said Taylor. “I am truly thankful to RTR for giving me this opportunity as I never would have been able to afford tuition on my own.”

Several RTR employees have earned Master’s Degrees in Autism Studies and Applied Behavior Analysis from Endicott College, including Program Director Kelly Cichocki who said, “I began working at RTR after receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and considered continuing on for my Master’s, but the idea of going back to school while working full time and raising a family seemed impossible.”

When RTR began to offer employees the opportunity to receive a Master’s through Endicott College with a more than generous tuition package, Cichocki “couldn’t pass it up.”

“Thanks to the support of RTR I have my Master’s Degree in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis, allowing me to expand my knowledge and better serve the individuals we support at RTR,” she said.

“From associate to master’s programs, RTR can help employees pursue personal learning and career goals,” said Christopher T. White, Ed.D., president and CEO of Road to Responsibility. “We are delighted with the number of staff members who have, are, and will take good advantage of these educational opportunities.”
