As a young host, voice-over artist and commentator, Roshan Shetty has already created a massive fan following for him.

Well, there are definitely a few rare gems who stand distinctive from the rest and prove their mettle by creating their own path to success, relying on their passion and determination, which leads them to become influential figures in their industries, just like Roshan Ramesh Shetty became as an International Sports Commentator and Presenter, host, voice-over artist and an anchor in the world of sports.

Roshan Shetty is one, who stands tall and unique as a one-of-a-kind commentator, who, throughout his career, has hosted several prestigious events like the English Premier League & Hero Indian Super League Youth Games (Now NextGen Cup), Hockey India Senior Men’s National Hockey Championship, Hero I League, Reliance Foundation Youth Sports, IHFF – Mr. Olympia Amateur & Sheru Classic India, Tournaments For Income Tax India, Rollball World Cup, National Cycling Championship and many others. What has turned more heads around him is that he has also worked with Primetime Emmy Award Winning Director for a Lifestyle based Web Series in India.

Studying in high school while growing up in Pune, more than academics, he would always find extracurricular activities more interesting. Commentating on his school sports day, while being an athlete himself representing the Pune Division in Athletics, Football and Fencing, he would attract attention for his innate skills in commentating and emulating actors and professors. He then began commentating on the mic about the analysis of the game in high school, and that’s how his journey in commentary began, he says. However, he chose Science as a stream and later also opted out of it to pursue a career in Sports Broadcasting and Management.

Growing up, Roshan Shetty realized his talents more in commentating than as an athlete, and things changed for him when he got the opportunity to perform commentary alongside Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri in a competition at Symbiosis, from where he did an MBA in Sports Marketing. The legendary sportsman advised him to take this up professionally, and Roshan began approaching TV stations. In 2016, he got the chance as a Professional commentator in the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports. In 2019, he debuted on Star Sports Network as an International Sports Commentator and Presenter and, in the same year, also got awarded the “Sports Excellence” Award by the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar.
