Mumbai : The rupee appreciated by 5 paise to trade at 49 rupees 17 paise against the dollar in early trade today on increased foreign capital inflows. In the previous session yesterday, the domestic currency had lost 29 paise to close at 49 rupees 22 paise against the dollar.
