  • Sachin Dev Duggal wins Serial Entrepreneur of the Year award

    New Delhi : Sachin Dev Duggal, Founder & CEO, Engineer.ai – a tech icon globally, Sachin Dev Duggal, the Chief Wizard of Engineer.ai, was recognized with the Serial Entrepreneur of the Year Award at a gala event hosted by Entrepreneur India to recognize the best of Entrepreneurial ecosystem for 2019.

    He bootstrapped his most recent venture, Engineer.ai, into a multi-million dollar business with $60M in revenue in the last 3 years and 180% profitable growth. Engineer.ai offers a 360 degree software service solution to build, run and scale any software development project without technical expertise.

    The human-Assisted-AI platform, Builder, enables anyone to build an on-demand, tailor-made software using a library of reusable features and a network of over 75,000 Creators globally–connected by a global software assembly line. This same assembly process reduces time to market, which helps create dreams (using software) faster than ever before. The result is a software development process that’s more efficient, transparent and reliable than ever before. At Web Summit 2018, Engineer.ai announced it closed on Asia and Europe’s biggest Series A funding round of $29.5M–which Sachin brought to life.

    Sachin’s background

    This isn’t the first award Sachin has won. While at Nivio, he was named Technology Pioneer at 2009 World Economic Forum. Further notable awards include: MIT Under 35 Indian Innovator of the Year, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist and the BBC Young Asian Achiever of the Year. He also made history by becoming one of the youngest attendees at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

    Sachin has a degree in B.Eng from Imperial College London and a degree in Entrepreneurial Master’s Program from MIT. At the age of 22, he founded Nivio, one of the World’s first Cloud Computing Companies and took the company to $100M in value before exiting. Nivio was a pioneer in the cloud in the mid 2000s, letting users stream Windows from the Cloud in a browser and offering an app store that allowed users to rent software from Adobe, Corel and Microsoft.
