Samsung Electronics Pvt Ltdintroduced multiple new 5G chipsets to boost performance, increase power efficiency and reduce the size of 5G solutions.Samsung also unveiled One Antenna Radio – a new 5G radio to help mobile operators simplify and speed up 5G installations.

“Samsung’s 5G vision includes bringing together the best global expertise and technical insights that can help operators and consumers take full advantage of 5G benefits,” said Paul Cheun, President and Head of Samsung’s Networks Business at Samsung Networks Redefined event on Tuesday.

At the event, Samsung Networks highlighted key developments in its global expansion, which includes delivery of over four million 5G-ready radios around the world.

Samsung has pioneered the successful delivery of 5G end-to-end solutions including chipsets, radios, and core. Through ongoing research and development, Samsung drives the industry to advance 5G networks with its market-leading product portfolio. The company is currently providing network solutions to mobile operators that deliver connectivity to hundreds of millions of users around the world.

Samsung’s long-standing expertise in developing chipsets in-house is a key differentiator, positioning it as a leader in the delivery of 5G network solutions with the features and benefits operators seek to advance their 5G strategies, said Anshel Sag, Moor Insights & Strategy.

At the event, Samsung also unveiled 6G networks vision aimed at accelerating 6G innovation, bringing hyper-connected experiences to users. Samsung has explored the potential of Terahertz (THz) spectrum application for 6G wireless communications, and its experimental 6G network that reached 50x faster speeds compared with 5G.
