  • Samsung India and DTTE felicitate first batch of A.R.I.S.E students

    Ahmedabad : Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with the Department of Training & Technical Education (DTTE) today awarded certificates to Mr Daniel Park, Senior Vice President, Customer Satisfaction, Samsung In... (1)the first batch of Samsung Advanced Repair and Industrial Skills Enhancement (A.R.I.S.E) training program. The A.R.I.S.E program is taught at Samsung Technical Schools that are being set up at Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Delhi NCR, following an MOU between Samsung and DTE. The first ‘Samsung Technical Lab’ was set up at Sir C.V. Raman Industrial Training Institute at Dheerpur, Delhi.

    Felicitating the students, Mr. Arun Mishra, Additional Secretary, Department of Training & Technical Education, Govt of NCT of Delhi, said, “My congratulations to the students. I am happy to see corporates such as Samsung coming forward to provide youth an opportunity to gain skills needed to meet demands created by the industry, while making them readily employable.”

    Speaking on the occasion, Mr Daniel Park, Senior Vice President, Customer Satisfaction, Samsung India said “I would like to congratulate the young men and women who have successfully completed the certification today. Samsung aims to take the benefits of technology to every member of the community. Doing so in the current environment where technology is rapidly changing, requires a large pool of talented manpower with practical know-how and relevant industry experience. We are confident that the skills gained by today’s students through A.R.I.S.E will help them advance Samsung’s vision – to open newer possibilities for people through technology.”

    The first batch of students on the A.R.I.S.E program saw 78 enthusiastic students receive training on various aspects of repair and troubleshooting for consumer electronics products such as mobile phones, televisions, home theatres, home Mr Daniel Park, Senior Vice President, Customer Satisfaction, Samsung In...appliances and their related accessories. These students also had a chance to visit and understand how Samsung Service Partners work. 48 students have been provided employment at the Samsung Service Partners in NCR, and the remaining students to be considered for additional positions as they come up.

    Being initiated with Sir C.V. Raman I.T.I in Dheerpur (Delhi), the A.R.I.S.E program and Samsung Technical Labs will eventually be expanded to cover other ITI and other institutes in India. Complementing the regular syllabus prescribed by the Technical Education Board, Samsung A.R.I.S.E program focuses on core technical education, offering education and training to students to address specific product service challenges. Access to the basics of technology, innovative Samsung products, installation, service and repair training along with soft skills for consumer interaction will be provided by trained staff from Samsung Customer Satisfaction Academy, through both theory as well as hands-on practical knowledge.
