Samsung India’s New Galaxy A Line is a Huge Success; Galaxy A10, A30, A50 Sales Create New Record

Chennai : Samsung India has tasted phenomenal success with its new Galaxy A smartphones unveiled on February 28. Focused on Gen Z and young millennials in the country, Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 have seen tremendous consumer pull, selling millions of units in just over a month since their launch in India.

Commenting on the success of Galaxy A smartphones, Ranjivjit Singh, SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung India, said, “We are targeting sales worth $4 billion from our new Galaxy A line in 2019 in India. In just 40 days since March 1, we have sold over two million units of Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 in the country. We have clocked USD 500 mn in sales from these three models during this period. Our recently launched Galaxy A devices have resonated well with the Indian consumers and we are confident that we will not only achieve, but also exceed our targets in the given timeline.”

Galaxy A line is designed for the way people are connecting today – sharing, capturing and consuming live. Galaxy A smartphones offer diverse, powerful devices that can keep up with these spontaneous, collaborative interactions.

“We have started shipping Galaxy A2 Core and we are launching Galaxy A70 in India next week. India will be among the first countries globally to get Galaxy A80, which was unveiled in Bangkok last week. Earlier this month, we also launched Galaxy A20. So, we now have a diverse line up of Galaxy A devices that will cater to consumers across the spectrum,” Ranjivjit Singh said.

Samsung India’s upcoming Galaxy A70 features a 6.7” Infinity-U display along with the biggest screen in the Galaxy A portfolio to date. It provides a more immersive edge-to-edge experience to everyday activities. The Galaxy A70’s sleek and ergonomic design and a 20:9 display ratio will deliver an immersive viewing experience whilst providing optimal grip.
