  • SAPCON 2019 two-day international conference on Emergency Medical Services to kick off in city tomorrow

    Hyderabad : SAPCON 2019, a two-day international conference on Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is to kick off here at GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (GVK EMRI) Campus, Medchal, Hyderabad tomorrow. SAPCON 2019 is organised by Society for Ambulance Paramedics – India (SAP) with an aim to bring national and international best practices and advances in Pre-hospital care field, scope of practice, education & research, cutting edge technology in EMS and career opportunities for EMS professionals. It also gives an opportunity to discuss and find out solutions for professional obstacles for EMS field in India informed Mr. GKR Raju, Organising Secretary of the conference.

    About 500 delegates from across India and few other countries too are expected to attend the conference. International speakers from United States of America, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Bhutan, Qatar and Switzerland. National level famous Physicians working towards Ambulance services development will be speaking at the conference.

    Dr. S V Mahadevan from Stanford School of Medicine; Dr. G V Ramana Rao from GVK EMRI; Dr. K. Hari Prasad and Dr. Mahesh Joshi from Apollo Hospitals group; Dr. TV Ramakrishnan from Sri Rama Chandra Medical College, Chennai; Dr. George Abraham and Dr. Prasad Rajhans, Dr. Satish Kumar will be some of the prominent speakers in this Emergency Care Conference. Physicians from various specialties will give scientific presentations on current emergency care issues.

    Emergency Medical Technicians, Emergency Paramedics from all over India and professional working abroad, have taken lead to organise the SAPCON 2019, scientific conference as a first of its kind in Indian Ambulance history. Participants from other countries have come to share and update the latest medical care delivered in ambulances. Honourable Governor also extended best wishes for the conference, informed Mr. Raju.

    The SAP-India, Society for Ambulance Paramedics is professional body comprises of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and Emergency Paramedics delivering emergency healthcare services to the community in India and abroad. The objectives of establishing SAP are working towards professional recognition and development of Emergency Care practitioners through networking, continuous education and research. Indeed timely Emergency care is scientifically proven to reduce mortality and morbidity at global level.

    The two-day conference will conclude on Sunday.
