MANGALDAI :: State Bank of India ,Mangaldai branch has handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakhs to the next kith and kin of Covid 19 victim Inam Ali under the PM insurance scheme . Late Ali was the owner of a SBI authorized CSP. Banker Cheques worth Rs 2 lakh each were also distributed to eighteen other beneficiaries of the bank under PMSBY and PMJJBY. In this connection a ceremonial cheque distribution function was held at Chapai near here on May 31 last. Deputy Commissioner, Darrang Pranab Kumar Sarmah attended the function as the chief guest while several senior SBI officials from Guwahati, Tezpur and Mangaldai attended it . At the outset Uttam Kalita, Chief Manager of SBI ,Mangaldai explained the objectives of the function.
