  • SBI General Insurance announces Corporate Agency tie up with Uttarbanga Kshetriya Gramin Bank

    SBI General Insurance, one of the leading General Insurance companies in India and Uttarbanga Kshetriya Gramin Bank, one of the key Banks in North Bengal, signed a Corporate Agency Agreement recently. This association will enable distribution of SBI General’s retail products through  Uttarbanga Kshetriya Gramin Bank’s  extensive network in the state of West Bengal.

    Under this strategic tie-up agreement, SBI General Insurance will offer a comprehensive range of general insurance products.

    Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Samir Chhabra, Head – Bancassurance, SBI General Insurance said “Our alliance with Uttarbanga Kshetriya Gramin Bank is an important milestone in our journey to further strengthen our distribution of products and clientele in the region. It is our constant endeavor to make our products more widely available for customers across all sections of the society. With this tie- up, we hope to increase insurance penetration. Uttarbanga Kshetriya Gramin Bank, with its wide reach of over 142 Branches in the area will help us reach out to a larger customer base”.

    Speaking on the occasion, Sri D K SINGH General Manager, Uttarbanga Kshetriya Gramin Bank said “The tie up with SBI General Insurance Co. Ltd. will help our Bank to offer wide range non-life insurance products to our customers, and help us provide a complete 360 degree financial protection”.
