  • SEBA (Assam ) Results : Education Minister Orders Probe On Social Media Leak,CM Congratulates “Young Friends” For HSLC Results

    Guwahati : The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) announced the Class 10 Result 2019 on Wednesday. This year the girls are the shining armour. Meghashree Borah (First Position) SANKARDEV SHISHU VIDYA NIKETAN, Narayanpur Pratyasha Hazarika (Second Position) DON BOSCO HIGH SCHOOL, Baghchung Anushree Bhuyan (Third Position) St. Mary’s HS School, Guwahati Meghaahree Borah from Sankardev Sishu Vidya Niketan, Lakhimpur has secured the first position in the HSLC exam result 2019 with 594 marks out of 600. Chinmoy Hazarika from Don Bosco High School, Baghchung and Pratyasha Medhi from St Mary’s HS School, Guhawati bagged the second position. The third rank was also shared by two candidates — Afreen Ahmed from Christjyoti School, Nagaon and Anushree Bhuyan from St Mary’s HS School, Guhawati received 591 marks.

    However The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has announced the Assam HSLC and AHM results at 9 AM on Wednesday (May 15). However, the results went viral on social media more than one and half hours before the official announcement. Reacting to the development, Assam Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya on Wednesday said that an official probe will be carried out against those who circulated the results on social media hours before they were officially announced. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Minister Bhattacharya said, “Strict action will be taken against those who circulated rumours on social media.” The Minister also informed that WhatsApp groups will also be scrutinized in connection with the incident. He said that with the help of Assam Police’s Cyber Crime Cell, the culprits will be detected. The pass percentage saw a relative increase of 4.19 percent in comparison to the previous year’s 56.04 percent.Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday congratulated high school students who passed the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) Class 10 examinations. Wishing them best for their future endeavours, the Chief Minister said that he is proud of his “young friends”.Heartiest congratulations to all candidates who have successfully cleared the HSLC and AHM examinations. Proud of my young friends who are the shapers of our tomorrow. My best wishes to them for their future endeavours.CM said .Notably, Megharhree Borah from Narayanpur’s Sankardev Shishu Bidya Niketan has topped the results with 99%. Chinmoy Hazarika and Pratyasha Medhi secured the second position, while Afreen Ahmed and Anushree Bhuyan secured the third rank. With a pass percentage of 60.23 in the Class 10 results, boys outperformed the girls in the results.
