Snapping a 5-session losing streak, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange ended with a modest gain of 68 points, or 0.4 percent, at 18,091, on value-buying in fundamentally strong stocks, amid firm Asian markets, today.

The Sensex had lost over 1,100 points in the previous five trading sessions. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 15 points, or 0.3 percent, to 5,432.
