Mumbai : Snapping three days of losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose a modest 43 points, or 0.3 percent, to 17,316, after volatile trade, today, as investors picked up blue-chips at lower levels. The Sensex had lost over 645 points in the last three trading sessions. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange gained 18 points, or 0.3 percent, to 5,275.
Stock markets in China, Hong Kong and South Korea lost between 0.2 percent and 1.4 percent.
