Shades of Happiness Celebrates World Environment Day

New Delhi: To mark The World Environment Day, Shades of Happiness, a Delhi based NGO that works towards improving the lives of street children, celebrated it by organising several activities for children. The World environment day holds global recognition and it is a perfect day to spread awareness about environmental issues among children. It is an important day to understand and educate the children about the issues that affect our planet.

To spread the message of “Green Planet, Clean Planet”, Shades of Happiness organized a painting competition for children. This competition was organized with an objective to create awareness among the children about the protection of our environment and its preservation. Throughout the day, a series of awareness programmes were organised. A plantation drive was also organized, where around 50 saplings were planted by the children. Around 50 children and 10 volunteers participated in the program.
