Shehbaz Rathod gets support of 10 independent candidates from South Mumbai constituency.

Mumbai: With mere three days left for the polls, Mr Shehbaz Rathod of Jai Maha Bharath Party contesting from the high profile South Mumbai constituency has garnered a support of 10 independent candidates from the high profile South Mumbai constituency.

This is a major boost to the newly entrant national level party, Jai Maha Bharath Party, who is making its maiden entry into the Lok Sabha polls against political stalwarts. Mr Rathod is contesting against two-time sitting Congress MP and Union Minister, Mr Milind Deora, Maharashtra Navanirman Seva’s Bala Nangaonkar, Aam Aadmi Party’s Meera Sanyal and Shiv Sena’s Arvind Sawant.

Speaking to the media persons here on Saturday, Mr Shehbaz Rathod, contesting from the South Mumbai seat said that the support of 10 independent candidates have joined hands with us to knockout the sitting Congress MP and Union Minister, Mr Milind Deora. “All these 10 independent candidates are now doing campaigning for me. Moreover, there are three parties who also wants to join hands and campaign for me,” Mr Rathod said.

“I don’t want to disclose the names of the independent candidates and those three political parties. I will reveal it when the time is ripe. At the moment, they are doing their work at the grass-root level,” he pointed out.

The people in South Mumbai, Mr Rathod said that, are tired of the Congress-led government both at the Centre and State, while the Aam Aadmi Party’s show in Delhi has proved that they cant run the government. “People are looking for a change and that they are know which candidate or party will deliver,” he said.

Pointing out to his party’s manifesto, Mr Rathod said that he would like to build houses for the policemen in India’s financial capital. “There are 40,000 policemen serving the entire Mumbai city, but they don’t have proper accommodation. If i am elected, i will build houses (their own houses) for them with 100 days,” he emphasized.

Mr Rathod further that he would like to provide with free education for all. “education is a key asset in today’s world and nowadays, most of the private schools take donations as well as higher fees, which middle-class people cant afford. I will make free education for all,” he informed.

With this development, the dynamics of South Mumbai constituency is has completely changed and that, the wave to corner Congress, Shiv Sena and MNS is very evident now.
